O365 IT Health & Risk Scanner, its use cases and Assessment Reports

O365 IT Health & Risk Scanner is a Risk Assessment Software for Microsoft Server Technologies. It is a plug and play software that enables the user to run assessments right after a very simple and easy installation process. The Scanner,

1.Uncovers hidden issues and vulnerabilities
2.Provides actionable insights that are instrumental in remediating risks
3.Reduces costs, time and external dependencies

IT Health, Risk & Security Assessments should be executed as a frequent practice to ensure IT infrastructure vulnerabilities are addressed before they interfere with business continuity. However, there are some cases where an IT Risk Assessment becomes a necessity, such as:

1.Technology Transformation Initiatives like – Domain Consolidations & Migrations
2.IT Audit Readiness
3.IT Infrastructure security hardening initiatives
4.Developing, Positioning and Delivering initiatives like Service Improvement and Risk Remediation Plans.

The O365 IT Scanner provides 2 reports after executing an Assessment:

1.PDF Report
– A summarized report that provides details on Active Directory inventory information, and list of issues classified across different levels of severity – Critical, Serious, Moderate, Low and Passed. The information is structured in graphical and tabular form with Issue details, Issue Impact and Insights for structuring a Resolution Plan available against each individual issue. This can be presented to senior leadership.
2. Spreadsheet Report
– A Technical Report of affected objects that provides a list of queried objects and additional relevant information for each object across every test. This is mostly used by the Technical team for remediating issues.
